Titanic (1997) Historic sub-genre film
Titanic was a film made in 1997 however this was not the first film made based on this tragic historic event. This film is the modern version of the real titanic event. The Sub Genre that fits into this film would be Historical, drama and romance. The historic genre in this film is based on a real event that happened during 1912. When this event happened, this was one to remember as the sinking of Titanic caused the deaths of 1,502 people.
Out of a total 2227 passengers and crew only 705 people survived the Titanic sinking. This was a major event as familys and friends had lost their loved ones.
The film/event also includes the sub genre 'Romance'. This is what really made the event more emotional. They focused two characters one from an upper class background and another from a lower class background and tried to understand the love they had when on the titanic ship.
